وَأَنزَلَ لَكُم مِّنَ الْأَنْعَامِ ثَمَانِيَةَ أَزْوَاجٍ

“And He sent down for you of the grazing livestock eight mates”

سَبْعَةٌ وَثَامِنُهُمْ كَلْبُهُمْ

“[they say] seven, and their eighth was their dog”

فَاجْلِدُوهُمْ ثَمَانِينَ جَلْدَةً

“then flog them with eighty lashes”

وَشَرَوْهُ بِثَمَنٍ بَخْسٍ

“And they sold him for a reduced price”

فَإِن كَانَ لَكُمْ وَلَدٌ فَلَهُنَّ الثُّمُنُ
